The FrontierDC Management and Team has substantial hands-on experience in managing successful ICT and Data Centre businesses.
Josh Griggs joined FrontierDC as CEO in October 2018 after 25 years working in the telecommunications, IT and FMCG industries.
As an experienced Managing Director, Vice President and Sales Director, with formal qualifications in accounting, Josh has a long history, both domestically and internationally, in driving year-on-year profitable growth in revenue while maintaining a focus on continued EBITDA improvement.
Prior to FrontierDC Josh was the Managing Director at Metronode responsible for driving revenue growth, increasing capacity and profitability, and building a high performance team. Metronode realised his huge contribution when Josh secured a new major international customer in 2016 that resulted in an 8MW build in Derrimut, Victoria.
Under Josh’s leadership Metronode also achieved the first NABERS 4.5 star rating for energy efficiency in data centres and in 2017 Metronode was awarded Best Data Centre Operator at the inaugural CommsDay Edison Awards and Frost & Sullivan Awards. In 2018, Metronode was sold to Equinix for in excess of $1bn, the business had grown four times over in three years under Josh’s leadership.
Before joining Metronode Josh played a significant leadership role in strategic business initiatives as a member of the senior leadership team at Optus Business and was on the global talent development program with SingTel. He was instrumental in the turnaround of the ICT performance across both Alphawest and Optus Business, taking the business from circa $100m to more than $600m within a four-year period and, ultimately, rolling the ICT business of Alphawest into Optus Business, which he subsequently managed.
Carl has spent more than 25 years in senior management and both private and public Board positions. Carl is an experienced senior executive having built several organisations from concept and expanded those nationally and internationally including a public listing on the ASX. This includes within technology, insurance, risk management, health and more recently industrial technology. He is also experienced in the establishment, design, building and managing of channel partners, international alliances, and joint ventures. Through this experience he has built up a strong set of business, finance and management skills.
Steve Mackay – Non-Executive Director
With over 25 years experience in the ICT industry Steve has achieved a consistently high record of sales growth and built numerous successful sales teams in many markets across the globe. Founder of Creator Tech – a team of sales and go-to-market experts operating across Australia and Asia who design, enable and execute revenue growth strategies for ICT industry clients – and with experience gained at Nortel Networks, Cisco Systems and Racal Plc (now Thales) Steve is a business development and communications expert.
Steve McNally – Sales Director
With over 27 years experience in leadership positions in the ICT industry Steve is an experienced sales executive with a wide ranging network. Recently as the Director of Ignia, Steve was instrumental in selling the company into Insight, Microsoft’s largest global channel partner. He has also previously held positions as Executive General Manager of Oakton and State Manager of Microsoft and Dimension data.
With over 16 years of expertise implementing and supporting advanced ICT solutions for enterprise clients, Matt possesses strong and proven hands-on experience in working with clients to optimise their support solutions. He has developed support processes which are now being utilised nationally by Fujitsu, and has managed and directed Data Centre operations for HBF and Kinetic.
A pioneer amongst early Australian internet providers, David has over 25 years experience with the Internet and data telecommunications, from designing routers to founding the Western Australian Internet Association. He has worked as a senior consultant or engineer for a diverse range of companies, including Alphawest, Fujitsu, UUNet, MCI, Worldcom, Amnet, Online Services ( WA Government ) and is an experienced author and technology developer. David has extensive cross-environment experience in Data Centre, Networks, Security, Telecommunications and ICT consulting.
