High Density Data Centre Services

The traditional approach to building data centre seeks to capitalize on sharing the cost of the construction across many customers. This approach therefore forces the operator to build the facility to a grade that does not allow for the inclusion of high density (high cooling requirements) compute without the full retrofit of sections of the facility. This is generally very expensive.

FrontierDC addresses this issue for its clients with its High Density Data Centre Services. Like all of its standard offerings, the FrontierDC High Density Data Centre Services is built to a standard that enables a fully concurrently maintainable environment with no single point of failure in the component of the solution delivered by FrontierDC.

Configured as a single rack, three racks or five racks, the FrontierDC High Density Data Centre Services scale to an average of 15KW per rack with a redundant cooling capability averaged at 18KW per rack in a hot and cold aisle configuration. What this means to FrontierDC’s customers is that they can deploy high density compute capability at a FrontierDC Primary Data Centre, at their own site (assuming sufficient power is available) or even in a their existing multi tenant data centre (assuming the cooperation of the facilities operator) – all without the cost of an expensive retrofit.

Client Site Build Data Centre Services

When a client is large enough and enjoys the economic advantages of local onsite power and telecommunication services, security and control needs may define that they consider the implementation of a data centre in a fully dedicated manner to meet their own requirements. In order to enable clients with this requirement, FrontierDC offers Client Site Build Data Centre Services.

Built with the same fully concurrently maintainable and no single point of failure architecture used in all of Redcloud’s solutions, the solution begins as five fixed racks with services to cater for five bring your own equipment racks. Fully upgradeable with no impact to running services, the solution scales to 50 racks (average 6kW per rack with an average 8kw cooling load provided) before adding on a secondary module. So essentially, Day 0 does not require a large direct investment and additional racks may be added as required, allowing the available space to be customized as a client determines necessary, as office, work benches or simply white space for storage.

As with all of FrontierDC’s Data Centre Node 2.0 solutions, the deployments can be indoor or outdoor using a semi permanent form factor or where the physical footprint space available is limited, a fully deployable form factor able to scale both horizontally and vertically.

Deployable Data Centres

Redcloud Deployable Data Centre Services deliver Data Centre Services for clients who demand small but scalable footprints where communications tend to dictate the need for onsite compute services. Whether it is for remote sites, communication towers or simply to provide high quality capacity using a high speed local area network, the Redcloud Deployable Data Centre Service delivers in modules of 5 racks (upgradeable to 10) with the option for a fully secured mezzanine office.

Configured as indoor or outdoor semi-permanent or a fully deployable form factor, the Redcloud Deployable Data Centre Service is targeted to be deployed as an economic but dependable no single point of failure solution implemented to ensure continuity of service.

Customised Solutions

Whilst Redcloud solutions are standardised and manufactured to drive capital and operational costs down, standardised solutions do not always meet what a client require. To address this need, a client has two options. They can customize a standard Redcloud Data Centre Node 2.0 solution after it is deployed or it may use Redcloud Ancillary Related Datacentre Services to obtain a fully customised solution to meet budget, space constrictions, power conditions, availability etc.

Why this is important to a client is that they can get a solution that matches its current needs without having to strenuously predicting future requirements. This reduces risk of an over engineered solution or wastage on services that they don’t consume.
